Unfeed (“we”, “us”, “our”) builds a focus and screen-time app for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Unfeed app and this website (unfeed.net) collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed Unfeed to work on your device and to collect as little as possible.
1. Our privacy principles
- Your screen-time and blocked-app data stays on your device.
- We never sell your personal information.
- We collect the minimum data needed to run and improve the app.
2. Information Unfeed does not receive
To shield distracting apps, Unfeed uses Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity) frameworks. For your privacy, Apple keeps the list of apps you select and your detailed usage private on your device — this information is not shared with us and we cannot see which specific apps you block or how long you use them.
3. Information we do collect
a) Health & motion data
If you enable movement features, Unfeed reads your step count and walking activity from Apple Health and the motion sensor to show your activity and to power “move to unlock.” This data is used only on your device to display your movement and is never written back to Health or sent to our servers.
b) Purchase information
If you buy an Unfeed Pro subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple’s App Store and our payments provider (RevenueCat). We receive a subscription status and an anonymous identifier so we can unlock Pro features. We do not receive your full payment card details.
c) Diagnostic & usage data
We may collect anonymized, aggregated diagnostics (such as crash reports and feature usage) to fix bugs and improve Unfeed. This data does not identify you personally.
d) Contact data
If you email us for support, we receive your email address and the contents of your message so we can reply.
4. How we use information
- To provide and operate the app’s features.
- To process and restore your subscription.
- To diagnose problems and improve reliability.
- To respond to your support requests.
5. Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run Unfeed — for example Apple (App Store & subscriptions), RevenueCat (subscription management) and hosting providers for this website. These providers act on our behalf and are bound to protect your data. We do not sell personal information.
6. Data retention
On-device data lives only on your iPhone and is removed when you delete the app. Subscription and support records are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
7. Children
Unfeed includes an optional Kid Mode intended to be enabled by a parent or guardian. Unfeed is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Because most Unfeed data lives on your device, you can exercise many of these rights simply by managing or deleting the app. For anything else, contact us at the address below.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
